Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, ai ai ai

Mordechai Hatzaddik told Esther the news

She called for days of prayer

And fasted with the Jews

Esther planned a banquet for the king and his men

She told Achashverosh

Hamans wicked plans

Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, y y y

Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, y y y

The king was filled with anger

And rose into a rage

“Hang Haman on those gallows!”

Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, ye ye ye

Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, ye ye ye

1f:T695,

Once there was a mighty king

Achashverosh was his name

From the land of Persia

We hear that he came

It is very difficult to try to explain

How he ever managed

To get this silly name

Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, ai ai ai

Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, ai ai ai

Haman his advisor persuaded the king

To slay the Jews of Shushan, Almighty King

Jews of the kingdom, they wept, they cried

They didn’t know what to do

How to save their lives

Achashverosh, Achashverosh

Achashverosh, y y y
