We stand in awe before the throne

We tremble and we cry

To You, the King of Kings,

As we face judgment from on high.

Another year is drawing to an end

Giving us a chance to start again

We've seen the pain and suffering

The heartbreak and the grief.

But Teshuva, Tefila, Tzedaka

Can avert the harsh decree

A future bright with promise can be ours

Hashem You'll heal our pain and our scars

Chorus:

And we plead with all our hearts

Let our voices crash the gates as we break them apart

Take away the barriers that hold us back

Shaarei Shamayim psach

Our King, our Father above

Hear Your children crying out for Your mercy and love

May we see the good always raining down on us

Shaarei Shamayim psach

Everyone is waiting for yeshuos in some way

Nachas or a zivug or parnassah day by day

All those who are ill should become well

Refuah lechol cholei Yisrael

Terror and destruction in the land of our dreams

Voices calling out from tunnels of captivity

The age old hate awakened everywhere

Reminding us that the Golus is still here

Chorus:

And we plead with all our hearts

Let our voices crash the gates as we break them apart

Take away the barriers that hold us back

Shaarei Shamayim psach

Our King, our Father above

Hear Your children crying out for Your mercy and love

May we see the good always raining down on us

Shaarei Shamayim psach

We yearn to feel connection every day of our lives

Love for our Yiddishkeit and Torah as our guide

To find the deeper meaning and the warmth

The joy in every mitzvah we perform

Hashem, we are your nation, we rely on You alone

‎השם אחד ושמו אחד ואין עוד מלבדו

This year when we hear that shofar blown

Let it sound the call to bring us home

Chorus:

And we plead with all our hearts

Let our voices crash the gates as we break them apart

Take away the barriers that hold us back

Shaarei Shamayim psach

Our King, our Father above

Hear Your children crying out for Your mercy and love
